Colorado National Monument

Road trip Day #4

Grand Junction, CO

This morning, we got up and met Brian, Peggy and the girls at The Egg and I for breakfast. We made a quick stop by Starbucks to pick up my caramel latte. Breakfast was french toast with awesome cinnamon butter and syrup. Unfortunately, I only got a picture of Scott and Destiny coloring before breakfast!

After breakfast we headed to. . .

The rock formations are pretty awesome at the Colorado National Monument.

Jordyn and Destiny

We also hiked into Devils Kitchen, a cool rock formation where all the rocks formed a bowl around you. It was really windy!

Peggy and I - WINDY!

After we were done checking out the monument, we headed back to the hotel for a quick change into our running clothes.

Peggy, Scott and I went for a 4 mile run on the Colorado River trail.

Overall, it was a really good day, although after all of our hiking and running, we are both pretty tuckered out!

We are headed to dinner at an Italian place here in town. On to Casper, WY tomorrow! Have a good Saturday night. 🙂
