I went to the gym this morning and did the New Rules of Lifting for Women: Stage 1:B.
Which consisted of:
- dumbbell shoulder press
- wide grip lateral pull-down
- Swiss ball crunch
I did a 10 minute elliptical warm up and then did weights. The whole thing took me about 30 minutes. I was pretty sweaty by the time I was done. .. weights always get me more sweaty than I think they are going to!
Again, I was the only girl in the weight room. But I just rocked out to my iPod and did my thing!
A good tip I picked up from Meals and Miles is to take pictures of the moves with my phone camera and then I can reference the moves before I do them at the gym. Such a helpful tip!
After workout snack: blueberry chobani yogurt with fresh blueberries on top.
Abby was being cute while waiting for me to be done with my snack so she could lick the container.
Eventually, she jumped up on the couch, and left a drool spot in anticipation of her ‘morning snack.’
Lunch was leftover Papa John’s pineapple and sausage pizza
along with lots of watermelon
and a cupcake – eaten too fast to take a picture!
I took Abby to pick up our share for this week’s CSA. The car smelled wonderful on the way home: fresh basil!
And now it looks so pretty on my counter!
Also in the bag: cucumbers, green beans, corn on the cob, onion, and potatoes.
I picked up the best bread at the Farmer’s Market too – perfect to go with our dinner tonight.
So chewy and doughy deliciousness
Scott grilled up spicy turkey Italian sausages.
Tri-colored rotini topped with tomato basil pasta sauce. Sprinkle of mozzarella cheese and some of our fresh basil on top!
Paired with a fresh salad with balsamic vinegar.
I think there are cupcakes and a long walk with Abby for our Thursday night plans!
